Upper or lower, front or back: what each choice does to your night.

A sleeper bus has good berths and bad ones, and the seat map tells you which is which if you know what to look for.
Start with the middle of the bus
Berths between the axles ride the smoothest. The last two rows sit over the rear wheels and feel every speed breaker, and the first row gets the headlights and the horn.
Choose lower for sleep, upper for privacy
Lower berths sway less and are easier to get into at a 2 am halt. Upper berths are quieter because nobody walks past your curtain. On a 2+1 bus, the single berths are best for solo travellers.
Check who is next to you
Seats booked by women are marked on our seat map. If you are travelling alone, pick a berth beside one of those, or take a single berth and skip the question.
