FIELD TEST · LADAKH RANGE[ 01 ]Our story
It started with a cold night at 4,300 m
Northfell began in 2017 on the Hampta Pass, when a jacket sold to our founder as a winter parka gave up at minus eight. Nobody could say what temperature it was actually built for.
So we started with a rule that still stands: every piece carries a number. A comfort temperature we have measured at camp, a weight in grams and a waterproof rating in millimetres. If we cannot measure it, we do not claim it.
Today a team of twenty-two designs and repairs our layers in Manali, tests them from a field store in Leh and ships them from Dehradun. We still answer every sizing and layering question ourselves.

How we work
Comfort ratings come from logged nights at camp, not from a fabric supplier's brochure.
Zips, cuffs and baffles are designed so our workshop can replace them.
Sixteen products that work as one system instead of a hundred that do not.
If a jacket is not waterproof, the page says so.
