Inside the lab: how every batch earns its number

Before a bag is stitched shut, its cement has passed eleven tests. We take you through a morning in the plant laboratory.

By Bastion technical team

Sampling starts at the mill outlet every two hours. Technicians check fineness, setting time and soundness before the batch is released to the packing line.

Mortar cubes are cast from every batch and crushed at 3, 7 and 28 days. The results are tied to the batch number printed on the bag.

That number is your proof. Enter it on our site or ask your sales engineer, and you receive the full mill test certificate for the cement in your structure.
