Cement is fresh produce. Keep bags dry, off the floor on pallets and away from walls, stacked no more than ten high. Use the oldest stock first and within 90 days of the pack date.
Wet cement is alkaline. Wear gloves, eye protection and long sleeves, and wash splashes off skin straight away. Avoid breathing the dust when opening and emptying bags.
Lift with your legs: a full bag weighs up to 50 kg. Where you can, use a trolley or ask for 25 kg bags.
