Expiry date, batch number, storage and directions. A two-minute habit that makes every pack easier to use safely.

Every pack you buy carries a lot of useful information in very small print. Taking two minutes to read it before the first use is one of the simplest safety habits you can build.
Name and strength
The label shows the name of the product and how much of each ingredient is in one tablet, capsule or 5 ml. Two packs can look alike and have different strengths, so check this first, especially when you reorder.
Dates and batch number
Look for the manufacturing date, the expiry date and the batch number. Do not use a product after its expiry date. Once a liquid is opened, note the date on the bottle, because many should be used within a set period.
Directions and warnings
The directions tell you how much to take, how often and whether to take it with food. Follow them exactly and never take more than the stated amount. Read the warnings too: they list who should check with a professional before use.
Storage
Most products should be kept in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, and always out of the reach of children. A kitchen shelf near the stove or a steamy bathroom cabinet is rarely a good spot.
If anything on a label is unclear, ask before you use it. For advice that fits your own health, speak to a Medora pharmacist or your doctor.
