About us

Why we started
Polka Scoop began in 2016 with one second-hand churner in a Bandra kitchen and a founder, Anaya Kapoor, who wanted mango ice cream that tasted like mango. The idea was simple: small batches, real fruit, fresh milk from a dairy we can visit, and nothing made more than a day ahead. We still churn every morning, and we still taste every batch before it leaves.

Milk and cream arrive at six. The base is cooked, cooled and rested, then churned twenty litres at a time with fruit cut that morning. Each batch is tasted, packed by hand and frozen hard at minus 25 degrees before it goes into an insulated box with dry ice.
