4:30 am: a morning on the farm
What happens between the first cow being milked and the bottle arriving at your door before seven.

Returnable bottles are more work for us and a little more for you. Here is why we think they are worth it.

When we launched the A2 range we decided it would only ever leave the farm in glass.
Glass is inert. Milk tastes of milk and nothing else.
Each bottle makes around thirty trips before it is retired and recycled. That is thirty pouches that never existed.
Rinse the empty bottle and leave it at your door. The rider swaps it for a full one. Back at the dairy, bottles are washed, sterilised and inspected before refilling.
Just a quick rinse, and no storing other things in them. If a bottle breaks, tell us: there is no charge.

Three milks, three different jobs in the kitchen. A plain guide to choosing.

Curd, a wooden churn and a low flame: why the old method takes 25 litres of milk for one litre of ghee.
