Norell is a private brokerage for architect-designed homes on the coast, in the hills and in a few city streets worth living on. We list fewer homes than anyone we know, on purpose.

In 2011 Meera Kapadia left a large agency with four listings on the Worli sea face and a rule she had wanted to keep for years: never represent a home you have not walked yourself, measured, and would be glad to stand behind.
Fifteen years later there are six of us. Each advisor is responsible for one region and every home in it, so the person who wrote the dossier is the person who opens the door. We say what we found, including the damp corner and the neighbour's extension.
We name the architect of every house, because good architecture is the main reason these homes hold their value, and because the people who made them deserve the credit.

Every listing is walked by a senior advisor, and its title, approvals and structure are checked before it reaches you.
We look at how a house handles the monsoon, the heat and the salt air, and say so in writing.
