Solar water pumping and shed rooftops for a sugarcane and poultry cluster, under PM-KUSUM component C.
Fourteen farms were running diesel pumps for irrigation during load-shedding hours. We installed solar arrays on poultry-shed roofs and feeder-level solar for pumps so irrigation now runs through the day without diesel.
The challenge
Daytime grid cuts, dusty conditions and long cable runs between sheds and wells.
Our solution
Shed-roof arrays, VFD pump controllers and a monthly dust-cleaning schedule run by trained local youth.
