A 300 kW solar carport over 220 parking bays, with 24 EV chargers fed directly from the canopy.
The campus had no free roof left but a large open car park. We designed a double-cantilever steel carport with integrated LED lighting and rainwater channels, and wired 24 AC chargers that prioritise solar power.
The challenge
Keeping the car park open during construction and meeting the campus's wind-load spec.
Our solution
Pre-fabricated columns installed in three night phases, and a wind-tunnel-checked canopy rated for 180 km/h.
