Every automation pitch promises hours saved. Hours matter, but they are rarely the biggest part of the return.
Count the obvious
Multiply the hours a task takes by its volume and your fully loaded hourly cost. That is your direct saving, and it is usually enough to justify a first agent.
Count the speed
Faster responses convert more leads, retain more customers and collect cash sooner. These gains are harder to measure but often larger.
Count what people do next
The hours you return go somewhere. Plan for it. Teams that redirect saved time into higher-value work see compounding returns; teams that do not simply feel less busy.
