Tessera Studio

Tessera is a six-person practice working on homes and small public buildings. Their old site buried strong photography inside a template grid.

The new site is built around full-bleed images, a sliding project index and a typographic system borrowed from their drawings.

Huge image files, a tiny budget for hosting, and partners who wanted to update projects themselves.

Page weight fell by 78% while image quality went up, and the studio has published nine new projects without any help.
