The piece

We designed this for the corner of a room that is not a study. There is no modesty panel, no cable tray hanging underneath, and no visible fixings on the top surface.

The drawer runs the full width and is shallow on purpose: deep enough for a notebook and a charger, too shallow to become a place things disappear into.

Materials & care

Solid European oak top and legs, hardwax oil finish. Oak drawer box on soft-close runners. Cable channel routed into the rear rail.

Wipe spills promptly. Refresh the oil annually. Tighten the leg fixings after the first month.
