A good wool coat should outlast several phones and at least one city. Most of what it needs is patience.
Brush, do not wash
After wearing, brush the coat downwards with a natural bristle brush. This lifts dust before it settles into the cloth.
Rest it
Wool recovers its shape if you let it hang for a day between wears. Use a wide wooden hanger that supports the shoulder.
Dry clean rarely
Once a season is enough. Solvents strip the natural oils that keep wool soft.
Most damage to good clothes is done by cleaning them too often.
Store it properly
In summer, keep the coat in a cotton bag with cedar. Never in plastic.
