Those little balls are not a fault. What causes them, how to lift them, and when to let us help.

Pilling worries more customers than anything else, so here is the honest answer.

What a pill is

Cashmere fibres are short and soft. With friction, loose ends work their way to the surface and tangle into small balls.

It settles down

Most pilling happens in the first weeks. Once the loose fibres are gone, a good two-ply knit calms down.

Comb, do not shave.

How to lift them

Use a cashmere comb in short, light strokes. Electric shavers cut good fibres too.

Or send it to us

Our Care Studio de-pills any Halvard knit for free in its first year.
