PM Surya Ghar subsidy, explained in plain words

Who qualifies, how much you get, and the five documents that decide whether your money arrives in 30 days or 6 months.

The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is the most generous rooftop solar scheme India has run. A home can receive up to ₹78,000 in central financial assistance, paid directly into the owner's bank account after the system is inspected.

How much you get The subsidy is ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW. Anything above 3 kW is welcome, but the subsidy stays capped at ₹78,000.

The documents that matter An electricity bill in the applicant's name, an Aadhaar-linked bank account, a cancelled cheque, roof ownership proof and a photo of the installed system with the vendor. Nine out of ten delayed claims we see come down to a name mismatch between the bill and the bank account.

What we do for you Helioura registers you on the national portal, uploads the DISCOM paperwork, books the net-meter inspection and tracks the claim until it is credited.

Free, no-obligation

Your roof could be paying your bills by next month

Book a free site survey. An engineer measures your roof, checks shade and sends you a written proposal with the subsidy already worked in, usually within 48 hours.
