Amarelle
About us
Our story
Jewellery made the slow way.
Amarelle started in 2009 at a single bench in a shared Red Hook studio. Today we are a small team of goldsmiths, setters and one very patient polisher on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, making rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets by hand in recycled gold with stones we can trace.

Recycled metals
Gold, platinum and silver refined from old jewellery, never newly mined.
Made by hand
One goldsmith follows each piece from the first cut to the final polish.
Mended for life
No plating, no glue. Whatever we make, we will resize, repair and polish.
How a piece is made
From sketch to finished piece.
Step 1Draw
Every piece starts as a pencil drawing at full size, with the stone beside it.
Step 2Cast
Recycled gold is alloyed and cast in small batches, a few rings at a time.
Step 3Set
Stones are set by hand under a microscope, low and secure for daily wear.
Step 4Polish
Three wheels, three compounds and a last check by the person who made it.
