It started witha broken hinge
Sorvane began in 2026 at a repair bench in Bengaluru. People brought us frames that had failed: glued hinges, peeling coatings, lenses that scratched in a month. We fixed what we could and kept notes on why each one broke.
The notes became a list of rules. Rivet the hinge, never glue it. Put a titanium core through every temple. Tumble the acetate for four days, not one. Fit lenses that block all UV, whatever the tint.
Then we started making frames to those rules. We still make them in one room, in small batches, and we still repair every pair we have ever sold.
