Salt Lines
The tide writes, then erases
A coastline photographed only in the grey hour, before the sun takes sides.
Salt Lines was commissioned as a travel story and became something slower. I walked the same eight kilometres of coast for nine mornings and photographed only what the tide had rearranged overnight.
The dunes, the boats, the rocks: none of them are where they were the day before. That is the whole story.
