Every Roue colour starts as a swatch pinned to the studio wall. A look at how tomato, cobalt and butter became ours.
Our palette didn't come from a trend report. It came from a wall of swatches, paint chips and bits of packaging we couldn't stop looking at.
The swatch wall
Every season we pin up anything with a colour that makes us stop: a ticket stub, a tin of tomatoes, a sun-faded awning. After a month, three or four colours always win.
Testing the dye
Then the hard part. Our workshop partners dye small lengths of each fabric so we can see how a colour behaves on satin versus denim versus knit. Cobalt took eleven rounds before it looked right on everything.

Why we keep them
Once a colour works, we keep it. That's why the tomato in this season's trouser matches the tomato in last year's knit, so your wardrobe builds instead of resetting.
