From first sketch to the rail: eight weeks, four fabrics and one very dramatic cape sleeve.
Every drop starts with a sketch and a problem. For Drop 07 the problem was simple: how much volume is too much?
Week one: the sketch
The Signal Red Cape Dress started as a scribble on a napkin: a fitted body with sleeves that behave like a cape. Our pattern cutter said it couldn't be done. Then she did it.
Weeks two to five: sampling
We sampled every piece in cheap calico first, then in the real fabric. The Cobalt Pleat Halter went through four pleat widths before the skirt moved the way we wanted.
Weeks six to eight: small runs
We cut sixty pieces or fewer of each style. When they're gone, you can join the notify-me list, and we restock the ones you ask for most.
