Buckets, twine and a long wooden table: a morning at the part of the studio where you make the bouquet yourself.
Behind the shop at 27 Fernhollow Lane there is a long table, a wall of buckets and more twine than anyone could need. We call it The Flower Bar, and it is the loudest room in the building.
How it works
You pick your stems from the buckets, a florist shows you how to build a spiral, and you tie and wrap what you made. Nobody has ever left with an ugly bunch.
Workshops
Most weeks June Marlowe, our lead florist, runs a class: hand-tied bouquets in spring, dried arrangements in summer, wreaths once the leaves turn. Private groups can book the whole table.
You do not need to be good at this. You only need to like flowers.
On the road
The Flower Bar also travels. We set up as a pop-up at weddings, parties and Hudson Valley markets, with buckets, paper and a florist on hand.
