Worli has more new towers per kilometre of coastline than anywhere in India, and very few of them are alike once you look past the marble.
The first question is orientation. Due-west towers see the sunset and the monsoon spray; north-west towers see the sea link and keep their glass cleaner. Ask the society how often the facade is washed.
The second is height. Above the thirtieth floor, the wind decides whether you can use a balcony at all. Ledges and fins help; open glass decks rarely get used in July.
The third is the society. We read three years of minutes before we take a mandate. Maintenance disputes, lift contracts and parking rules say more about a building than any brochure.
