The story

The No.01 is the jean Marlowe started with: a mid rise, room through the seat and thigh, and a dead-straight line from knee to hem that sits right over a work boot.

It is cut from 14.5 oz raw selvedge woven slowly on narrow shuttle looms, so the edge finishes itself in a clean red line at the outseam. Wear it hard and do not wash it for six months. The creases you make become the fades you keep.

Cloth & care

100% cotton raw selvedge, 14.5 oz, red-line self edge. Copper rivets, brass shank button, chain-stitched hem, bar-tacked stress points.

Wash rarely, cold and inside out. Hang dry. Expect up to 3% shrink on the first wash.

True to size
Six months in, perfect fades
Stiff for two weeks, then it moulded to me. Honeycombs behind the knee already. The free hem was done with a chain stitch, so it roped properly.
