Our story
Sugar Riot began as a weekend counter in Koregaon Park in 2019. Two friends, one gelato machine and a waffle iron borrowed from an aunt.
Today there are four counters across Pune and one central kitchen. The gelato is still churned every morning in small batches, the waffle batter still rests overnight, and nothing sits in the display for more than a day.
We cook with milk from a dairy outside the city, seasonal fruit from Maharashtra and proper chocolate. We label eggless dishes and allergens clearly, because dessert should be easy.

The Riot Sundae with hot fudge is our Friday ritual. The sauce comes in its own pot, so it reaches home still warm and nothing has melted.
Cookies and cream thickshake is honestly thick, not just cold milk. My kids fight over the last of it every single time.
