Guides

How much to feed depends on your cat's weight, age and how active they are. Use this guide as a starting point and adjust to keep your cat lean.

Adult cats, dry food only, per day: 3 kg cat, 40 to 45 g. 4 kg cat, 50 to 60 g. 5 kg cat, 60 to 70 g. 6 kg cat, 70 to 80 g.

Adult cats, mixed feeding, per day: one 85 g wet pouch replaces about 20 to 25 g of dry food. A 4 kg cat does well on one pouch plus 35 g of dry.

Kittens: 2 to 4 months, 40 to 55 g of kitten dry food across four meals. 4 to 6 months, 55 to 70 g across three meals. 6 to 12 months, 60 to 75 g across two or three meals.

Seniors (7 years and older): feed about 10% less than the adult amount unless your cat is losing weight, and consider adding a wet meal for hydration.

Indoor and neutered cats: reduce the adult amount by 10 to 15%, or choose an Indoor recipe.

Switching food: change over 7 to 10 days, starting with a quarter of the new food and increasing every three days.

Water: keep fresh water available at all times, in a wide bowl away from the litter tray.
