A week in the hills with no laptop

I left my laptop at home for seven days in Sikkim. Notes on boredom, sketching and coming back with better ideas.

In August I spent a week walking in north Sikkim with a notebook, two pencils and no laptop.

The first two days are hard

I kept reaching for a phone that had no signal. By day three I was sketching everything.

Ideas need empty time

Three of the strongest ideas I had this year came from that notebook, including the label system for Monsoon Coffee.
