Each year as the monsoon winds turn, plankton gathers in the channels of the atoll and the manta rays follow. Our marine team has logged over sixty individual rays by the patterns on their bellies.
Guests can join a guided snorkel to the cleaning station at the north point, where mantas circle slowly while small wrasse tidy their gills. No diving experience is needed; the rays often pass within a few metres of the surface.
