The sun sets over open ocean on the western side of the island, and the light changes fast. The end of the main jetty catches the first gold; the Sandbar deck is best for the moment the sun touches the water.
For something quieter, follow the sandy path past the Palm Garden Suites to the west beach hammocks, or ask for a dhoni to take you out beyond the reef.
