Wedge the stoneware to push out air and line up the clay particles.
Small-group pottery days in a sunlit Indiranagar studio. Throw, trim and glaze with a ceramicist beside you — then collect your fired pieces three weeks later.
Every workshop ends with real, usable pottery — glazed in colours you choose and fired in our kiln.
Six steps, one patient day. Scroll to follow a lump of stoneware into the kiln.

Wedge the stoneware to push out air and line up the clay particles.

Brace your elbows and let the wheel do the work until the clay runs true.

Open, pull and shape — three slow pulls lift the walls into a cylinder.

At leather-hard, carve a foot ring and refine the profile.

Choose from twelve studio glazes and dip, pour or layer them.

Two firings to 1240°C turn soft clay into stone. We email you when it's ready.

Founder & lead ceramicist
“Clay keeps a record of every touch. I want you to leave with something that remembers you.”
Nandini trained for six years in a Lisbon azulejo and stoneware workshop before bringing her wheel home to Bengaluru. She opened Kilnroom in 2019 so that beginners could feel what she felt the first time clay centred under her hands — calm, focus and a small, stubborn joy.
Our second-floor studio on 12th Main has six wheels, a glaze wall and two electric kilns.
Eight seats a day. Seats update live as people book.
Vouchers from ₹2,500, emailed to them with your note and valid for twelve months on any workshop.
None at all. The Beginner Wheel Day and Hand-building Morning are designed for people who have never touched clay. With eight seats and two teachers, someone is always beside you.
Clothes you don't mind getting muddy and short nails if you can. We lend aprons. Clay washes out of cotton easily.
Pieces need to dry, be bisque-fired, glazed and fired again — about three weeks. We email you the day they come out of the kiln, and you can collect from the studio Tuesday to Sunday.
Yes. Pay 30% to hold your seats and the balance on the day, or pay in full online. Gift vouchers can cover any part of a booking.
Move your date for free up to 72 hours before. Inside 72 hours deposits are non-refundable but can move to another date once. If a date is full, join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment a seat opens.
“I centred a lump of clay for the first time and actually gasped. Came home with two cups I use every day.”
“Calmest Saturday I've had all year. Nandini makes you feel like you can't get it wrong.”
“We booked the studio for our team offsite. Eight designers, zero laptops, sixteen wonky bowls. Perfect.”
“The weekend intensive finally fixed my trimming. Worth every rupee.”
“Took my daughter to the hand-building morning. She hasn't stopped talking about her coil vase.”
“Gifted a voucher to my partner and ended up booking a seat for myself too.”
