From a sheet of Italian acetate to a hand-polished front: a day on the Vantis bench.
Every Vantis frame starts life as a sheet of cellulose acetate, milled in northern Italy from cotton and wood pulp.
We cut the front on a CNC mill, then everything after that is done by hand: bevelling, pinning the hinges, bending the bridge, and three days of tumbling in wood chips and pumice.
The last step is the one we care about most. Every frame is polished on a cotton wheel until the edges catch the light like glass.
