Every Ember starts as a gather of molten glass on the end of a pipe.
The gather
The glassblower turns the pipe constantly so the glass stays centred and even.
The shape
A steady breath and a wooden block shape the globe. The glass is then annealed for hours so it cools without cracking.
The frame
The cooled glass is set in a soldered frame, tested with a bulb and packed by hand.
