Designed to last
Solid brass, blown glass and replaceable parts: lights you keep, not lights you replace.

Our craft
Lumora began in 2016 with one table lamp, one glassworks and a metalworker who let us watch the pour. We still work that way: few materials, close partners, small runs.

Solid brass, blown glass and replaceable parts: lights you keep, not lights you replace.
We build within 600 km of where the metal is cast and the glass is blown, so every part stays traceable.
Every light is wired so it can be opened and repaired. We service Lumora for life, for the cost of postage.
Few materials, done properly

From sketch to switch
Each light starts as a drawing at our bench, tested in card and wire before a single piece of metal is cut.

Shades are blown and spun in small glassworks we visit every year. Each one comes out a little different.

Frames are cast, turned and hand-finished in solid brass that ages with the room, never flakes.

Wired, tested and lit before it leaves. Packed in recycled card and sent with everything you need to hang it.

What it saves
Every product carries an energy badge: the kWh and CO2 it saves a year against a conventional bulb and fitting of the same brightness. Here is the year so far.

The studio
Six of us design, wire, test and pack everything in a former foundry by the harbour. Made-to-order lights are finished by one maker from start to end, and you will find their initials on the base plate.
