From a block of acetate to a frame that catches the light like glass: a day at the atelier bench.

Every Maison Oré frame begins as a block of cellulose acetate, made from cotton and wood pulp.
The front is cut once by machine. Everything after that is done by hand: bevelling, setting the hinges, warming and bending the bridge, and three days of polishing in wood and pumice.
The last gesture is the one Hélène cares about most. Every frame is finished on a cotton wheel until its edges glow, and only then does it receive its lozenge rivet.
