A four-floor workplace in a converted textile mill, built around a library-like social stair.
We kept the mill's riveted steel and brick and set a warm timber interior inside it. The new stair connects all four floors, with wide landings that work as meeting places, so people bump into each other on the way.
Around sixty per cent of the furniture was made by craftspeople within 200 km of the site, and every desk is height-adjustable.
