Ten good pieces beat forty average ones. How to build a rail where everything works with everything else.
Start with the fabric
A jacket is only as good as what it is made from. Waxed canvas for rain, heavy twill for wear, fleece for warmth. Learn to feel the difference and you will never overpay for a logo again.
Build around three colors
Black, navy and a warm earth tone such as olive or rust will carry you through almost any week. Add a white tee and a grey hoodie, and every piece suddenly has five partners.
Look after it
Spot clean, hang dry, and re-proof your shell once a year. A good jacket treated well will outlast three cheap ones.
Repair, don't replace
A new zip, a patched elbow or a fresh hem can turn a worn-in piece into your favorite. That is what The Workshop is for.
