About us
Founded in Mumbai in 2013, Oriel & Stone is fourteen designers, makers and project managers who believe a home should feel calm, warm and completely yours.
Our story
Tara Menon started the studio after a decade designing hotels, wanting to bring the same care to the homes people actually live in.
Today we work from Mumbai and Bengaluru with a network of joiners, stone yards, weavers and lighting makers across India. We take on around twenty homes a year so that every one gets a senior designer's full attention.

Draws every built-in we make and spends half his week in the workshops making sure it gets built that way.

Leads materials and colour; keeps a library of 2,000 physical samples and knows where each one is.

Runs our sites and our lighting layouts, and believes every room deserves at least three dimmers.
