Kisogawa Weaving Works
Woven on 1960s shuttle looms at a third of modern speed, then washed in soft river water and dried flat.
The mill has woven wool beside the Kiso river for four generations. The slow looms leave a dense, supple cloth that holds the long line of the trench for years.
