Three lengths, two weights and one rule about clasps. A short guide to wearing more than one chain at a time.

Layering looks effortless when it works and like a knot when it does not. The difference is almost always length.
Start with three lengths
Leave at least five centimetres between each chain. A 40 cm choker, a 45 cm pendant and a 50 or 60 cm chain will sit in clear tiers on most necklines.
Mix the weights
Two fine chains of the same weight will twist around each other all day. Pair one fine chain with one that has some body, like a paperclip link, and they will hold their own lines.
Mind the clasps
Fasten the shortest chain first. If they still drift, a small layering clasp at the back keeps every chain at its own length.
What to try
The Kite Pendant at 40 cm, the Sol Coin at 45 cm and the Paperclip Chain at 50 cm is the combination we reach for most.
