The anatomy of a movement
One hundred and eighty parts, twenty-eight jewels and a balance wheel beating eight times a second: a tour of the MV·28.

Turn a Meridian & Vale over and you look straight into its heart. The MV·28 automatic has 180 parts, most smaller than a grain of rice.
The mainspring stores energy; the gear train meters it out; the escapement releases it in tiny, even steps; and the balance wheel, swinging back and forth eight times a second, decides how long each step lasts.
We decorate every bridge with Côtes de Genève stripes and blue every screw by hand over a flame. None of it makes the watch more accurate. All of it makes it ours.
