Tidewell Aquatics
About us
Our story
A fish room first. A shop second.
Tidewell started in 2012 as one rack of planted tanks in a Seattle garage. Today we are a small team of aquascapers, fishkeepers and drivers running 140 systems on Harbor Row, breeding what we can, quarantining everything else and building aquariums for homes, clinics and restaurants across the Northwest.

Healthy first
Fourteen days of quarantine, and nothing ships until it is eating.
Built by hand
Every display and every install is scaped by one of our own team.
Kind to the reef
Captive-bred fish and aquacultured coral wherever they exist.
How a tank comes together
Plan. Build. Cycle. Stock.
Step 1Source
We buy from breeders and coral farms we have visited, in small weekly lots.
Step 2Quarantine
New arrivals spend two weeks in separate systems, watched and fed three times a day.
Step 3Pack
Double-bagged with pure oxygen in an insulated box, with heat or cool packs for the season.
Step 4Support
An acclimation card goes in every order, and the team answers questions for the life of the fish.
