It depends on the coat. A simple guide from our lead groomer.

There is no single answer, but coat type gets you most of the way there.
Short coats
A bath every six to eight weeks and a weekly brush is plenty.
Double coats
Brush twice a week and book a de-shedding session at the change of season. Never shave a double coat.
Curly and long coats
Brush every other day and plan a full groom every four to six weeks to stay ahead of matting.
Nails and ears
Check both every fortnight, whatever the coat.
