Grandparents who live alone deserve a knock on the door.
320 reached this yearWhy this matters
As children move away for work, more of Bengaluru's elderly poor live on their own — often in a single rented room, managing blood pressure or diabetes without help.
Our elder-care volunteers visit every week. Each elder receives a monthly ration kit, their regular medicines, a doctor's visit every month and, just as important, someone who notices when something is wrong.
Every ₹1,500 covers one elder's ration, medicines and check-up for a month.

Pack 320 monthly ration kits — rice, dal, oil, millets, tea — for the elders in our care programme.

Pair up with a regular volunteer to visit four elders who live alone: deliver medicines, check in, and stay for tea.
