A room full of books, open after school, run by the children who use it.

Most of the children in our programmes have never owned a book that was not a textbook. Our community libraries change that: a bright room, a few hundred books in Kannada and English, floor cushions and a librarian from the neighbourhood.
Children borrow books home, volunteers run weekend story sessions, and older children run the lending register themselves.
Every ₹250 adds one new book to a reading room.
