Clean Water
A filter on the kitchen wall means fewer days lost to fever, and fewer rupees lost to medicine.
5,200 reached this yearWhy this matters
Borewell water in many of the settlements we work in carries fluoride and nitrate levels far above safe limits. Families know it; they boil what they can and buy cans when they can afford them.
We install gravity filters in homes and RO units in schools, and — more importantly — train a water committee of local women to maintain them, test the water each quarter, and collect a small monthly fee that pays for spare parts.
Every ₹2,500 gives one family a filter and five years of maintenance.
