Every Ophelia Rose print begins as a watercolour on our studio table.
Before a single metre of fabric is cut, each of our prints spends weeks as a painting. Our studio artist works from flowers picked that morning, pressed between the pages of an old atlas.
From petal to paper
The Wild Rose print began with one rambling rose by the studio door. We painted it twelve times before the colour felt right: not too pink, not too pale, like a rose seen through morning mist.
From paper to cloth
The finished painting is scanned at very high resolution so every brushstroke survives. It is then printed onto cotton-silk, crepe de chine or voile, depending on how the piece should move.
Why a print returns
We cut each print into several pieces, a dress, a cami, sometimes a skirt, so you can wear it more than one way. Look for Shop the print on any product page.
