A child's working day involves crawling, climbing, sliding and sitting on the floor. Clothes should not get in the way of any of it.
Knees and seats
We cut extra room into knees and seats, and reinforce the knees of dungarees. A garment that pulls when they squat is a garment they will refuse to wear.
Waistbands
Wide, covered elastic spreads the pressure. Nothing should leave a mark on a tummy.
If a child can dress themselves in it, we have done our job.
Fastenings
Poppers for babies, snaps and pull-on waists for toddlers, and laces only when they are ready to learn. Independence starts with getting your own trousers on.
Pockets
Real ones, deep enough for a stone, a conker or half a biscuit.
