Our story
It started with ascratchy label
Pipkin began in 2019, when our founder cut the label out of yet another baby vest at two in the morning and wondered why it had been sewn there in the first place.
We opened with a short list of rules that still stand: cotton next to the skin, no scratchy seams or labels, fastenings a tired parent can manage in the dark, and room to grow.
Today we make clothes for newborns to ten-year-olds, plus the shoes, socks and gift sets that go with them. Every style is washed twenty times before it joins the range, and we still answer every sizing question ourselves.
The soft-fabric promise
What we promise
Everything worn next to the skin is cotton, pre-washed so it starts soft and stays the size you bought.
Flat seams, printed labels and covered elastic. If it rubbed our own children, it did not make the range.
Nearly everything goes in the machine. The care advice is on every product page before you buy.
Fold-down cuffs, deep hems and two strap positions, so a size lasts longer than a season.
