Our story
Fifty seconds from the first apple of the autumn to a pint at the Signal Box Inn. It plays as you reach it; press it for the sound.

Every autumn, the orchard at Hollow Lane turns red.

We pick the apples by hand, the way we did in 1904.

They rest in oak vats older than the farmhouse.

Then into eight cans.

Crisp, fruity,

juicy,

cloudy and a little lemony,

and one with no alcohol at all.

And a pint at the Signal Box Inn.
From our orchard, with care.
Eight ciders in cans, every one pressed from Somerset apples at Hollow Lane Farm. Point at a can to see its back; open one to turn it in your hand.
Also in bottles: Kingston Black 7.4%, light and crisp, from one apple varietyHarvest Vintage 8.3%, rich and dry, from one year's harvestScamp 4.5%, medium and smooth

Arthur Hale made his first cider at Hollow Lane Farm in 1904. The family has grown, pressed, fermented and matured it there ever since, at the foot of the Mendip Hills.
The Signal Box Inn, Wedmore
The family's pub, in the same village as the farm: a restaurant and a country pub lounge with a big garden out the back, at the foot of the Mendips and on the old railway line path. Open seven days a week, with the ciders on the bar and the food from round here.
