Why small rooms need less bass, more detail and a very good night mode.
The short version
Small rooms build up bass quickly, so a compact speaker often sounds fuller than you expect. Keep it off the floor, away from corners, and let soft furnishings do the rest.
Night mode narrows the dynamic range so quiet dialogue stays audible without loud peaks waking the house.
